Abstract :
Nowadays, the lack of energy, as well as the reduction of water reserves and the dangers of drought, have become two serious challenges around the world. The purpose of this study is to study the effect of water-energy nexus on national policies and government outlooks documents. In this regard, a multi-objective model is proposed for designing a biogas supply chain through the digestion of sewage sludge under disruption because of drought. The economical objective function maximize the profit and the environmental objective function study the maximization of the environmental efficiency of the network process. In order to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed model, several provinces are considered as a case study in arid, semi-arid and humid regions of Iran. The results of the proposed model suggest that the construction of a power plant in Isfahan and Guilan is recommended. The results will help national managers to better use all primary sources of good management of drought-related problems and adverse environmental impacts of the advanced industries.
